Self Publishing is Hot and Getting Hotter

The number of books that have been self published annually in the U.S. has nearly tripled since 2006 and the industry is expected to continue its monumental rise in popularity. The number of self published books is up 287 percent according to a survey done by Bowker, the world’s leading provider of bibliographic information.

The industry has given everyone who has a story to tell the ability to tell that story and has leveled the playing field for all authors.

What this means to the public is not only do aspiring authors now have the ability to take a chance on their talent, but it also means that book lovers now have more choices and the ability to read the works of some truly excellent authors. An experience that would not have been afforded to them just a few short years ago.

There is no better time to have your story told. The reason that self publishing has grown so much in recent years is a result of the ease to effectively get your book published in a professional manner for a fraction of the cost it would’ve cost in the past.
